My old bank and old bank account,

Hello to All,

I used to have an account with the Security Pacific National bank, Hollywood Branch in the early 1980s. I had about $150.00 in there and I never closed my account. Obviously the Security Pacific National Bank does not exist any longer. How can I get the money in my old account?Your answers are truly appreciated.
The company I worked for laid off many people at the end of March. I realize this is not a big amount but even this small amount can be very helpful to my family during these hard times.

Thank you,

I looked it up and it sounds like they became Bank of America so you might want to check with them. Take your ID and bank info to make it easier getting somewhere hopefully.

Odds are if the account was dormant that long the funds would have been escheated to the state even if the bank were still in business. Hopefully, you have some info - an old statement, account number or something.

For property which has been escheated in California, start with the State Controller's office (link is posted below).
Good Luck!
