If somone could just give me some suggestions it would help. I recently tried to open a bank account. Then i got the shocking news that i wasnt able to because I have been writtng bad checks. Bad checks i said, i never had a bank account in my life, how could that be possible. Come to find out I cant open an account because someone used to my social and opened an account with it, and i guess wrot bad checks. How...... I dont know. Well I was given this fruad paplet with some numbers that i could call and i could get some help. Well i did, and they said they could put a faud alert out my social and said they would mail me a letter so that i could give it to the bank and i could open an account. Well nothing yet, i called again an the same thing over. I even went to the fruad web page to post a fraud on my social. Im getting frustrated, and i dont know what todo. I plan on opening a montessori home preschool soon, and i cant exaclty do that until i get my stuff cleared. HELP!!!

Have you filed a police report on the ID theft yet. Normally with a copy of the police report you can open a bank account.

And this is very very serious since the police can come after you for the bad checks untill you prove yourself not guility

No i havnt, but see the strange thing is when i was at the bank the lady asked me if i had lived in Tenn and the social sec num was with another name. It was my social with somone elses name. Dunno. But i will do that thanks
