can a foreign national open a US bank account?

Hi,

My boss just received his L1A Visa and he wants to open a personal bank account in the US.

Is he able to do so?

Hello Jack:

You don't have to be a citizen to open a bank account.

You do have to follow your CIP requirements and obtain the proper identification per your internal policy and procedures.
