Can a foreign national open a US bank account?

| My husband is green card holder but me not yet still livin abroad our prob.is the refund check bec its a joint name he can't deposit to his account so we are planning to open joint accountin usa when I visit him..what are the requirements to open and another prob.my middle name in the check is wrong *** help..tnx | ||||
