What are hydraulics and Numatics? ( That might have been a typo...)

hydraulic means fluid power, or using a liquid to create linear motion.
a good example is a floor jack for your car, or even the strut on a car's trunk
pneumatic means powered by air. The impact guns nascar guys or even your local auto shop use are powered by compressed air.
