What is the Algonquin name for the constelltion:Pleiades

I llooked up eight dancing sisters (since the Algonquin have a legend) in Zeisberger's Indian Dictionary and it would come out something like:
Nishwaaswi gentgaat ndawema
but don't know if this is correct.

Hello Ceesees. Just a point of clarification - the Pleiades is not a constellation, but rather is a star cluster. The Pleiades are actually part of the constellation Taurus.

Have you seen this article from Wikipedia - it doesn't mention Algonuin legends, but does talk about the Pleiades in other Native American cultures:
