Both Neil Armstrong ane Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin landed together on the moon on July 20, 1969, in the Apollo 11 Lunar Excursion Module (LEM). Several hours later Armstrong was the first person to climb down the ladder of the LEM and stand on the moon's surface.

Clarification: did you mean 'visit' or 'land'? Borman, Lovell, and Anders were the first to 'visit.' They circled the Moon in Apollo 8 (1st people to see 'dark side' with own eyes) but they did not land.
