If I were making up stuff about the end the world, I'd make it 12/12/12 at 12:12:12. But that's just me. | | | | Expert

If I were making up stuff about the end the world, I'd make it 12/12/12 at 12:12:12. But that's just me. | Of course when the Mayans were developing their calendar, which presumably "ends" in what in the modern era we call the year 2012 (and is the basis of all this nonsense about the end of the world), they knew nothing about how our calendar works with its 12 months per year, or 24 hours in a day, or 60 minutes in an hour. So the concepts of 12/12/12 and 12:12:12 would have meant nothing to them. | | | | Uber Member

See how all the 12's and 21's match up. It's almost binary code like. | | | | Ultra Member

I have a question for you, Mr. Science expert. How many days does it take the Earth to make a complete revolution around the sun? Has nothing to do with leap years. And, GO. | | | | Uber Member

And, GO. | A sidereal year is 365.2564 days long, since you didn't specify which kind of year we are measuring, i'll assume you meant sidereal.
Now a question for you. What about the rotation of the planet splits our days up into 24 hours? Why are hours split up into 60 minutes? (this is what I asked you before..) | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread
