Stumped on a riddle.

I got this riddle and i can'tseem to find the answer.....[WHY DO MORE BIRDS FLY SOUTH THAN IN THE WINTER?] this riddle has a one word answer!!! once again it is a riddle!! Help.

This question seems grammatically flawed, because south is a direction and winter is a season. Is there something missing or is this the complete riddle?

I agree with Ken, but also because birds don't tend to like flying in the winter. That's why they fly south. They fly back north when it is winter in the southern hemisphere. It's not winter everywhere at the same time you know.
