Picture made of colored paper pieces

We have a 5.50" by 8.50"picture of a boy and girl marionette. The boy and girl are made of colored pieces of paper, tan, white orange and flesh on a black background. The name at the bottom appears to be Neillett with a swirl and star at the end. Our best estimate is that the picture dates to the 1930's and is in a black, narrow wood frame. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure of the spelling of that name, please? I haven't found any references to an artist by that name on the Internet yet. Or, could the name be of who took the photograph?

I also have looked on the internet for this name "Neillett" and have found nothing but we can't figure out what else it might be. There is what could be an accent mark above the first "e" but we figured it was the dot to the "i". "It is not a photograph, just cut out pieces of colored paper that are pasted on a black background.
