Very Large Religious Oil Paintings

I purchased two (2) very large and very old oil paitings back in the 1960's at an estate sale in NYC. Both are approximately 4'X6' and were painted in dots. The paintings are religious in nature with angles on a cratered planet and men floating. Not your typical painting. Both paintings are not signed. How can I find out who may have painted religious paintings in dot form / on canvas ? Arfe there any religious art experts that I can contact ? I don't have pictures of them as they have been in storage for 40 plus years. Your help would be greatly appreciate.

Do you have an art gallery nearby to where you are where you could take them for possible identification? Perhaps a signature might be hidden behind a portion of the frames or may be located on the underside of a backing for them, if there is a backing? Just an idea.
