Art from the Baroque and postmodern era

I need to choose three works of art from the Baroque period through the Postmodern era that are from the same time period or style and that have a similar theme.

Can someone tell me were to start or just give me three forms of art that I could write about?

An easy thing to do would be to choose portraiture with an individual sitting as the theme. Another theme might be three artist's impressions about war that might be happening during a certain time period in art.

Are either of those types of themes something that might be appealing to you? Or, does the theme that you choose need to be even more particular and focused rather than the couple of broad ones that I just suggested to you?
