re: a photogravure published by D.Appleton of NY, also on print it says Goupil & Co which was/is a French art dealer in mid to late 1800's. Either the artist or sitter was Maria Brooks 1884. Beneath picture of beautiful woman it says "I wonder if he really means it". thank you for any help,
