I have 3 paintings in total. They all have a sticker on the back that says
”Etchings carrying this label are Genuine Original French Etchings Imported from Paris. The Artist placed on this etching the Triangle Trade Mark enclosing the letters SLL (?) as a Special Indentification. -- An Etching is only Genuine Original when made entirely by hand, and no mechanical process is used." (SLL at base of the silver triangle)
Two are 8” X 6” and are signed by Boyer on the bottom right corner in pencil.
1. On the bottom left corner in says “Sous le Chateau”. On the top right it says “Copyright 1936 Camilla Lucas-NY-USA”
2. On bottom left “Ferme en Nivernais” (spelling may be incorrect), again signed by Boyer. Also same inscription at top “ Copyright 1936………..”
3. On bottom right it is signed by “Alex” or “Olex” ; bottom left says “La Courelle”. "Copyright 1935..........."
This one is 6” X 8 1/2 “.
Does anyone know the origin of these etchings/paintings
and whether they have any value? Any help appreciated.
These may have been wedding presents to my parents in 1941.
