Borin Art

My husband and I just bought a house, The first owners passed away and their children sold the house and it had alot of stuff in it they did'nt want. We found a picture that is very old on the back it says Vivdoil Processed Painting,Borin Art Products Corp. Chicago Ill. The painting is called " Sunset Ripples" By E.Willcox. I can't find out anything about E. Willcox or the painting any information would help...Thank You.

You have a reproduction. Borin Art Products Corp reproduced various artists works. Not sure of your artist or when the reproduction was done. It is possibly a reproduction of a lesser known work by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, 1855-1919. I would suggest you contact an established antique dealer in your area and find out if they can put you in touch with an antique art expert who might be able to give you something more definitive. The only way you are going to get a more solid answer and figure out what the value is, would be to allow someone to examine it.
