Delow84, the muscle definition is amazing. The shading on the t-shirt shows great form and contour following the position of the body. I am so glad you found this thread. So glad you posted.

Ok, here are some of the things I've built. All are life-size.

photo 1) Turn of the century Double-suspension brougham (horse-drawn carriage)

photo 2) The drawing I worked from to build it. Got the drawing from the library.

photo 3) This is a replica of the 1857 Bronze Napoleon 12-pdr (Civil War Cannon)[/QUOTE]

Great job, Delow84! I agree with all of the above posts concerning your drawing and just wanted to add that the proportion and balance in it is excellent!

HistorianChick, I greatly look forward to seeing more of your pictures in the future on a thread devoted to art like this one! Excellent work! Wow, you certainly are a well-traveled person!

Sadly, it has come time to close this thread. The alloted limit of posts for a thread is 1,500, and we are there.

To all of you who have contributed in whatever way on this thread or have simply enjoyed viewing images and reading about the artists and their work, it has been a great run! Hopefully, another thread like this will be started in the near future. This doesn't have to be the end of the line here...

I think that one person who really deserves special recognition and accolades here is firmbeliever for starting this thread. Thank you, firmbeliever! Kudos to you for starting this thread and may many blessings come your way for you doing that! I know that it has been a blessing for me and also many others that this thread has been here!

I will have a surprise for all those interested. It will take me a number of days to complete. It will be a compliment to this thread and a sticky to go right along with it. This site gets excellent exposure when people do searches for things on the Internet. There is so much excellent and outstanding information on this thread, that it sure would be nice if it were easier for people to find things on it...

Later...

HistorianChick agrees: I'll be on the lookout. Stinks, I finally found this beautiful thread and its gone. But it shall ever live on in our memories... and our browser history :)
startover22 agrees: I for sure hope to see your surprise soon. I also hope to see another Art thread so we can all enjoy something similar to this one. (if that is even possible) :)
