I would really like to see Firmy come back and post here! I miss her very much!!
Her words, her art, and all the rest of her!! Hugs to all you sweet people!
lol I wish I did! I'm glad I've been missed though ^.^. My renassance painting is almost done and when it is I will show it to you guys. I finally got art supplies so I've been painting at home but the painting I'm doing at home is not turning out as I envisioned. As soon as I fix it I will show it to you. It's not like my other work, it's more cartoony. And ya school and my bf have been keeping me busy ^.~, I'm trying to get one of my grades up so that I can go to a dance that is on the 1st of december.
I'm doing a recreation of a painting done in the renaissance period in renaissance style. Everyone was supposed to do the Mona Lisa but we could do another painting if we wanted to. I'm doing "Small Cowper Madonna" by Michelangalo. Here's what it looks like so far... not a very good picture though... I took it with my cell phone and sent it to my computer.

Jess, the site is moving slow. I posted an answer a few minutes ago but not sure it posted. Just want you to know it is great seeing your work posted. Love your use of colors. I have been working in black and white for awhile and have some projects in my mind to do in color. I am working on a black and white commission piece now but after that......LOOK OUT COLOR........here I come!
So, since you are trying to imitate the style of Michelangelo, are you also trying to give this painting more of a three-dimensional as opposed to a two-dimensional look?
