Art types, confusesed

im trying to compare art from back then and now
for now im using pollock and his weird art style and talking about cgi art and other stuff

for back then i know im using vincent van goh and maybe picasso but i dont know the names of the genre of art they fall under

im getting confused about the tems so if anyone can help out the project is due tuesday
