Whirlpool Quite partner II soap dispenser not opening

Approx. 6 month old dishwasher and the liqiud soap dispenser does not open through the entire normal & short wash cycle's. Havent tried pots&pan cycles. It's plastic, so wd40 wont help?

if its only 6months old i would call for service you get a one year warr with it .....its sounds like the wax motor for the depenser
