whirlpool dryer will not turn on

Hi,

we have a Whirlpool Dryer, selecting normal time to dry the start button does not start the dryer. Its about 8 years old always work great.

checked the fuse panel and have removed the controls off the front of the dryer and no sign of burn electronics.

Is there a reset or internal fuse on this?

Dan

First start with the simple, check the door swith. You might want to remove it and ohm it out with a meter (check for continuity).

If the door switch is not working properly, then it wont allow the dryer to run.

If its not the door switch, then it could be the start switch (button). On my dryer, the start button is built into the timer. (set the dail, then press the dail to start)

But as I said, check the door switch first. Someone could have slammed it or something and thrown it out of kilter.
If that doesnt get it, write back and we will go from there.
