    Water heater keeps going to vacation mode
    Hi I have an A>O smith gas water heater and it keeps reverting to vacation mode and I find out when all the waters cold. It used to do it wvery once in a while and is getting more frequent like every day. Please help it is only about 4 years old and I can't figure it out thanks

    Teystey - Is the control separate from the heater itself or on the hot water heater?
    If its on the heater then more then likely it is the gas control valve , it is not funcationing right, you will probably have to get a new one to replace that one Try calling your local gas person to come and check it out for you
