Washer or dryer is staining clothes
Not with every load but often either the washer or dryer is staining our clothes... The stain color is like a blue to green color. No fabric softener is used. What would be the cause of the stains and where do I begin to figure out what the problem is
    Thanks

With the washer and dryer empty, I would look around real carfull to see if there are any traces of where this is coming from in the machines. That's really the only thing I can think of right off the bat.
Could very well be some old nasty water sitting in the bottom of the tub that's not getting out all of the way.

There was a light tint of blue in the dryer... not nearly as dark as it is on the clothes, so right now it is my suspect, I cleaned as much of that off as I could... for all I know the crayon or whatever could be "behind" the drum and be blown onto the clothes...

Have you gotten any help with this? I have been dealing with the same problem for a year, now. It's maddening! It only happens at home and not when I'm on vacation. Please let me know if you have found the source of the problem.

I think it was a crayon in the dryer, as there was blue on the back of the dryer drum... I used some lacquery thinner to get the crayon off the dryer, then sop and water to wipe off the lacquer thinner... Since lacquer thinner is highly flammable you would need to make sure it is dry and/or removed...
