UL code, uneven load, Whirlpool Cabrio washer
My cabrio washing machine will code out "UL", uneven load, 9 out of 10 times once it gets to the spin cycle. I can have a light load, medium, heavy, doesn't matter. It will even do it with nothing in the washer. I have taken the machine apart from top to bottom and found no obstructions.
Is there a sensor somewhere out of whack?
I noticed the motor/stator had tons of shavings which I cleaned up but is the motor/stator worn out?
This is causing way too much stress, especially for a 2 year old machine(heavy use though).
    Help please.

By any chance, does the motor shaft in your machine have a 1 inch wide groove on it? Was it rusted when you pulled the basket up? And was the basket stuck? It seems that the basket needs to move freely, up and down about 1 to 2 inches, on the shaft, according to the cycle. My machine is also only two years old and has the same problem. I believe this is a poor design that causes ware on the motor shaft. I wish the company would recall these lemons. I will call the technical department and ask them if the motor shaft is originally smooth. If it's supposed to be smooth, then the one on my machine is definitely shot and it probably doesn't pay to repair it as the basket would probably ware the new shaft/motor
As well. I also did not find the manual helpful at all in this case. By the way, I've had nothing but trouble with this washing machine since I purchased it, it has already been repaired 3 times, under warranty. Good luck anyway!
