Maytag fridge not cooling III

I have a Maytag Model # MTB1956GE* the freezer seems to be working fine but the fridge has stopped cooling. The unit was also making loud noises like a "popping" or banging noise. It almost sounded like someone inside the fridge hitting the side of the fridge. I think I heard the compressor kick on but the unit did not cool down any.

Any Ideas?????

I am guessing this is not a DIY project. The freezer and refrigerator have separate expansion valves. It sounds like something has gone wrong in the refrigerator section. A technician will have to evacuate the Freon and repair the problem.
