timer on clock goes off by itself

I have an Amana Self Cleaning smooth top stove. It has a clock and timer. The timer will go off at different times, it sets itself and goes off up to 3 times during the night and different times during the day. It sets itself for 59 minutes and counts down. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. thanks
