    String around washing machine agitator
    I have a drawstring wrapped around my GE washer agitator. How do I access this to fix it?

    You may have to bite the bullet and take a knife or pair of scissors and cut the string. Or you can run some water in the tub and try to work the string to where you can find an end and gently start unwrapping it from around the agitator.

    Yeah, I cut the string. I was hoping to be able to unwind it completely, but as long as it doesn't interfere with the operation of the washer, I guess it will be all right. Thanks for the prompt response.
