    Stove top stained
    My maytag smooth top range had a burned on stain I cannot remove--any suggestions?

    You can use a razor blade to scrape it off carefully. I've had to do this before and on mine it did not scratch my top. My instruction manual states to do this for tough burned on stains. Also use the smooth top cleaner that you can buy almost anywhere inclunding Target, Wal-Mart, and Sears. You really have to rub this cleaner in, but it really does work. Hope this helps.
