Squeaky Whirpool Gas Dryer motor, shaft or blower fan
    Hello,

The other day our whirpool gas dryer began making a loud squeaking noise that went away after using, at first. A few loads later the unit stop running, would restart briefly then stop again. After removing the panels and drum I isolated the noise to the motor. When spinning the shaft manually the noise seems to be coming from the rear of the motor assembly or possible from behind at the blower fan in back. I cannot find any place to oil or greese, my guess is the motor bearing is worn, any ideas on fixes or is this a replace?

Buy a new motor and clean all the stray lint up in the unit. Usually a new drive belt is also in order.

Removing Fan from Motor Shaft [ 2 Answers ]

Does anyone out there know how to get the fan off the air conditioner condenser motor shaft? Mine seems to be rusted on a bit. I tried WD40 and a few lubricants but I don't want to ruin the shaft if I already haven't. What's the trick? I'm going to be getting a new motor in the mail and I need...

Squeaky Trane Blower Motor [ 1 Answers ]

Noticed last night that my Trane furnace was squeaking like a cricket when the air conditioner was running. Then every so often it would make an awful squealing sound like maybe a motor was getting stuck and unable to turn. From reading other posts I'm guessing that I might have a bearing or belt...

Squeaky AC motor [ 1 Answers ]

A chirping noise is coming from my AC unit. I think it is coming from the fan motor. The squeaky chirping noise (sounds like a cricket) kind on cycles so that during a cooling cycle, the fan will go from making no unusual noise to this squeaky chirping noise and then back to no noise again. Do you...
