soap dispenser won't open

We have a 2 year old frigidaire dishwasher that when it runs, the soap dispenser does not open. At the end of the cycle the soap is still in the dispenser and the dishes are still dirty. We have tried solid soap tabs and liquid and none of them are being distributed. The water is getting hot so that's not it. Any ideas what could be causing this? The washer is not very old, but of course not still under warranty.

It should be triggered by a 120v solenoid. Could be bad solenoid or no power to it.
