Microwave

Hello, I have a sharp microwave and the door doesn't shut anymore. The black latch that is on it is not broken. It just doesn't want to latch on. I opened the side and I can see where it latches on to I just don't know why it doesn't. Can anyone help me? Thank you!!!

I worked on one of those a couple of years ago. I wish I could remember more. I think I may have filed down a part allowing the latch to drop down further and catch. Even as cheap as microwaves are now, it seems a shame to pitch one becasuse the latch doesn't work.

i dont know about yours, but this old one i had awhile ago did that and it just needed a good slam..lol
