Kenmore 80 series dryer starts with hum and then shuts off, why?
My Dryer starts and runs for approximately 2-3 minutes, all-the-while making a humming noise that progressively gets louder which indicates that it will shut off soon. Where do I start troubleshooting?

Motor or drum is likely frozen. Use Parts & Accessories | Shop & Find Lawn & Garden, Appliance Parts at Sears Parts Direct | SearsPartsDirect.com from Sears and look up your model to get a diagram. From there you should be able to figure out what you have to remove to inspect the motor and belt. 1st check for free rotation and determine which part is stuck. If things turn free, then the motor might be suspect.
