Receiving a new appliance after just purchasing one
I recently purchased a kenmore elite refrigerator. It leaked in the water dispenser periodically, but was still usable. I called for repair and the technician came out and further messed up the water dispenser. He ordered parts and scheduled another repair date one week later. However, after receiving a call, whether I received my parts I was not told the parts would come to my house. I then told they can rescehedule me for 12/24, I said this was not acceptable, and want a new refrigerator... please let me know what my rights are

    Thanks.

Lets start with how old is the frig? If this is a few weeks old and leaked from day one you should get a new unit, just get really crabby with the store manager. However, if it worked fine when it arrived and started leaking weeks/months after you used it then you are entitled to warranty repair. Which best fits your situation?

Normally a service department will have several attempts to fix, if they have only been there once, and needed to order parts, then they have not had a good chance to make it right yet.
