| Make sure you have your cord connected properly. You should have two hots one neutural, and a ground. The red and black are the hots, the white is the neutural, and the green is the ground. If you have verified this, check to make sure that you havent triped a fuse, and that you are indeed getting your two 120 volt potentials at the cord. Reading between the black and red connector on the cord end, you should read 220-240 volts, if you do not, and read 120 volts to ground on both sides, then there is a problem. The two hots are on the same potential.
