new dryer won't work

i got TODAY a kenmore elite electric dryer. it's all hooked up, seems fine, push the start button, it runs for about three seconds and then goes off. cannot start it again until a few minutes later, and then the same thing happens. tried many different settings, etc. any ideas??? thank you

After thoroughly reading the owners manual for something and not finding anything,, I would contact the service deptartment where you bought it.

RickJ agrees: Right. Don't even TRY to repair it as you may void the warrantee. Call the company you bought it from and raise some cain to have them get someone out asap.

Good luck. I hate to tell you that you just bought the biggest lemmon in the appliance industry today!

It may shed some light on your problem......also, if sears will take this thing back, it would be a good time to get rid of it. Mine is now three years old, and is having the same problem. Ask sears lack of customer service department about "service flash" # SF26-751.

I hope you have better luck than the hundreds of others with the same problems.
