    Maytag washer bearing noise
I have a Maytag commercial washer model # starting with MAH that has a loud high pitch noise in spin mode only, am suspecting a tub bearing going bad, what's involved in changing said bearing.

The best way to do this is to replace the entire outter tub as an assembly. Although it is initially more $$ in the beginning it is a far better way to go in the long run due to the difficulty and low success rate of bearing replacement in this unit. If you need details on how to attack this project and get it done efficiently let me know.

Maytag dryer noise [ 1 Answers ]

My Maytag dryer (10 years old) makes a griding noise that appears to be coming from the motor (I took the back panel off). It still spins and dries but the noise is terrible--like a broken bearing? Is it worth it to have it repaired or buy a new one? Thank you.
