Maytag washer

Maytag LAT9314AAE washer will fill with cold water only NOT HOT, otherwise works great! Water is on, runs thru hose but machine only trickles with HOT water only!

Could be a restricted/plugged screen on the hot water hose BUT more than likely a defective water fill valve. Naturally I always recommend testing the part before replacement using an electric test meter to be sure power is being applied to the hot water fill coil on the valve. If power is present but no hot water comes out then the valve is probably defective. NOTE: make sure you have hot water available where the hot water hose screws into the back of the machine.
