I have a Maytag washing machine mfg. Around 1913. It was in my basement when I
Bought the house and it must weigh 300 lbs. - maybe a little less. Is there any way to
Get it out of the basement because even if it could be lifted, it wouldn't fit on the stairs
And at the top of the stairs there is a sharp left turn into the kitchen. I would be so
Happy to get this monster out of the basement. Thanks for any help.

If this is a wringer, the top section usually is removable.

Try listing it on ebay. You never know.

You can always take it apart in pieces (destructively are non-destructively) if you have to, but try selling it first.

Yes, I would try selling it and having someone coming to get it out so you don't have to deal with it. You can post it on ebay or try posting it on craigslist.

Just look for screws and bolts and start taking it apart or grab a sledge hammer and start beating it until it is small enough to fit up and out the stairs.

Beating it is the wrong answer, but a saw might cut the tub uup.

Think about the name of the saw. Sawzall. As in it saw ALL. I have seen them used to cut all kinds of things.
