Maytag rtw22a refrigerator condenser fan

The condenser fan in my Maytag rtw22a refrigerator started making a noise over the past week and today it started stopping and starting and now it has just stopped. I can restart it with the push of the blade but it doesn't run for long. Looks like a pain to replace but doable. I also found a condenser fan motor replacement kit for $36 but will take a day or two to get here. I have 2 questions. Am I correct that replacing this fan motor is doable? Can I leave the frig running without this fan operating while I wait for the part or repairman depending on the answer to number 1?

The ref. will warm up without the fan running. It is not hard to change
