reg. side is not cooling it runs all the time i unplugged it and left off a day then plugged it back in freezer side got to 20 deg but ref side was still not cooling has plenty of ventilation around it it is in garage as a second ref. for overflow drinks etc. if you can tell me if i should try repair myself i can replace parts etc. or scrap it and get a new unit
suggest the parts to replace and if possible where to get a scematic of the unit

Sounds like the defrost timer switch went bad. Happens all the time on side by side models regardless of what brand. I had a huge side by side in South Florida that would eat defrost timer switches at the rate of one a year. If your model is an older one and does not have a circuit board but for real parts that can be replaced, just go to an appliance parts store with your model # and they will hook you up with a new defrost timer switch. If you have a multitester, use that to determine if the switch is bad.
