I have the Maytag Neptune MDE7500ayw and it has stopped drying. I have already checked the following. The vent is clean and clear, the hampster wheel is clean and clear, all sensors have been checked for continuity, it does heat up when put into service mode and the heater is toggled. I noticed that the external heater relay gets triggered at that point which under normal timed or sensor modes it does not close. Could the external heater relay be the problem even though it can be triggered in the service diagnostic mode. (no diagostic codes come up which I find strange ) or could it be the very expensive main circut board which houses also a heater relay?
