Kenmore washing maching door won't lock

I have a Kenmore front load washing machine, model 417 44152400, that stopped working.

The door won't lock after pressing the Start button, which obviously keeps the washer from working. The indicator over the Start button just flashes.

I thought the problem was the door lock assembly because I measured 115VAC across the door lock switch, but the switch wasn't pushing out the plunger to lock the door. I ordered the switch assembly, but it didn't fix the problem. I could troubleshoot this problem better if I had a complete wiring diagram, but the one I downloaded from Sears doesn't seem to show the interconnections. Please help! I'm in Alaska and have no Sears service center where I live.
