First, I'd unplug the washer so it won't start up while you have your hands in its innards.
Locate the pump (generally a plastic round thingy) and it should have a small belt that connects it to the motor.
Loosen either the pump mount or the motor mount (one or the other) and slip the belt off the pulley.
Try to turn the pump's pulley using your hand. It may be a little hard to turn if it is full of water, but if it won't turn at all, then it may have something stuck in it.
If you think the pump is jammed, you'll have to take it out. This can get real wet.
Remove as much water from the tub as you can by siphoning or dipping it out.
Get a bucket and get it close to the hose that goes between the tub and the pump
Remove the hose clamp on that hose and aim for the bucket fast!
Once the excitement is over, remove the other hose from the pump.
Remove the pump and see if there is anything obviously stuck inside.
If there is, you can probably use the old pump
Reverse all the steps to re-assemble.
I hope this helps.

Very helpful thank you! Only thing I did different was I drained the machine as much as possible first and I took the pump and flushed it out using the sink faucet for your step 11 and presto / viola! The issue went away!

My Kenmore washer, model# 417.99686210, has stopped spinning. It runs through the rest of the cycle, OK. It still agitates, indicating the motor is OK, but when it comes to the spin cycle, nothing. It fills with water and drains. If anyone can help, that would be most appreciated. Thank you.
I have a Kenmore 80 Series, Model No. 110.24832200 washing machine. It goes through the cycles fine, but when it comes to spinning and drainig the water, it won't function properly.
I have a kenmore washer that my wife and I got brand new about 2 and a half years ago. All of a sudden the machine will not advance beyond filling the washer with water. After the water fills to the appropriate level nothing else happens! I have tried it on every cycle type and water level and...
I have a Kenmore washer 80 series model 110, After the spin cycle finishes there is still some water in the washing machine. We restart the cycle and then all the water is gone. This doesn't always happen, sometimes it works fine. Any ideas would be appreciated
