My kenmore elite gas dryer sometimes makes my clean clothes smell like gas. any suggestions why? It is new I had the gas company come there is no gas leak. and sears was no help. its very inconsistant as to when it happens not that offten but it does sometimes.

Has anyone changed the ignitor? Sometimes they glow too weak to ignight the gas. The gas only comes out for a second because there is a sensor to detect heat and if there is no ignition, it shuts gas off instantly. They put such a terrific amount of odor in the gas it can seem like a substantial amount. Also have a pro check location of igniter. I have seen on rare occations that the igniter has to be closer to the gas chamber. I hope this helps cause I can't see it to test anything.
