I have a Montgomery Ward Dryer (Heavy Duty Twenty) which I bought in 1982. It looks new and worked well until yesterday. (7/30/13) It now has a rasping, scratching sound like noise when I start the drum.

How do I remove the drum to see if it is in need of some guides for the drum?

I realize I may not be able to get parts for it however if I can, I would much rather do that since most of my family and friends have had to buy two or three dryers since I bought this one. They just don't make them like they did back when I was younger!!
