| GE Spacemaker Dryer - knocking Hello. Thank you to everyone for lending your expertise in this forum -- it's wonderful that you share this knowledge.
Defying physics, our GE Spacemaker dryer ripped the cinching toggle off the waistband of a pair of pants and sucked it up into the tiny crack between the drum and the surrounding unit. We pulled most of the toggle out but think a bead closure is still in there because the drum now knocks as it turns -- the knock occurs when the drum reaches the same position each time.
Can we remove the front of the dryer to see if we can find and remove the bead? Or is it necessary to call in a repair person for this? Any advice would be helpful. I've alread combed the owner's manual and there are no instructions for removal of the face.
