GE Dryer buzzer

We have a GE Profile Type 473 Dryer. This model does not have a End of Cycle signal control. Is there a way to disconnect the buzzer on the Extra Care cycles?

You can probably install a switch for the signal Control yourself. Be sure to provide proper insulation.

On the GE the front to panel is usually simple to take apart and should provide you with access to the buzzer.

I don't have the plans for your specific machine but it should be simple. If you send me a picture of the schematics (usually on the back) I can take a closer look.

Don't forget that you may loose your warranty over this modification.

Thanks
Alon

I will add:

Alon is correct, one could use a simple switch to break the current to the buzzer, and have an end user control. I do something simillar with my home phones.

If you locate the buzzer in your machine, unplug the unit, snip the hot wire leading to the buzzer, then install a switch between the line that you just broke. (See attachment)

NOTE: Alon is also correct on this: Doing this WILL MOST LIKLEY void any warranty you have on the machine.
