Garbage disposal

I am having a problem with my garbage disposal. There is a center seam on the disposal and when I run water on that side of the sink, it is leaking there. Can that be fixed or do I need a new disposal.

The dishwasher drains into that side of the pipes and I need help. Yesterday after I ran the dishwasher, there was standing water in the sink. I used a plunger and the water drained. Now it is leaking. Help.
