It is disheartening to see so may threads for Maytag side-by-sides and the frost that builds up on the coils. On several occasions, the defroster has been indicated as the problem, and applguy has indicated willingness to explain how to 'force' defrost this unit, yet nobody has requested this info. I believe it would greatly help out in my situation. My pertinent info is MSD2356AEW and 11950906WW. I had this situation arise 3 weeks ago, and again today. Seals seem fine to me, but the unit started 'running overtime' again and now the coils are frosted again. The back and underside are clean, and the unit seems warm to the touch between fridge and freezer. Both fans are working fine it seems. I am hoping applguy, or anyone else who knows for that matter can assist with this one. Thanks for all the info so far in the mulitude of other threads.
