Dryer taking too long/ outside

I've noticed lately that my dryer takes longer to dry clothes than before. I clean the vent and the metallic venting duct on a regular basis. I am wondering if it has to do with the dryer being out on my covered porch? It gets quite cold in there during the winter month, but is protected from the outside elements (rain, snow, etc.). I wanted to avoid bringing it inside due to limited space in the house. Any idea/ suggestions? Thanks.
