    Dishes won't get clean!
We have a brand new stainless steel dishwasher and when we run it we set it to the maximum wash, plus we use Jet Dry, but our dishes (especially our glasses) just will not get clean! They always have spots and sometimes even have food or other residue. Sometimes they even look more dirty than when they went in. We use liquid dishwashing soap, should we switch to powder? Please help! Thank you.

When you open the dishwasher and pull the racks all the way out (as in out of the machine if you can) and look inside the washing area, is there gunky debris? If you take a paper towel and wipe along the where the door meets the frame is there gunk?

Do you prewash the dishes? You know, get all of the gunk off? Perhaps you should set it on a pots and pans or "heavy" load, this way the machine gets an extra cycle.

Watch the machine one time, does it enter a rinse?
Right before it enters rince, open the door and inpect the water. Perhaps its not pumping down like it should.

My wife is bad about throwing dishes coated in food stuffs in the dishwasher, then pieces of ground beef, beans, etc are baked all over the dishes.
